Why do a lot of Gate cards have a black circle around the G-Bonus

I have noticed that a lot of Gate cards have a black circle around the G-Bonus on them.
Most of them just have the thin white circles around them but a lot have the black circle, instead of the white, is there any purpose for these?

For example "Tricky Gate" has the black circle around the Darkus bonus, and "Stand Off" has the black circle around the Haos bonus which is also highlighted for the Pearl Bakugans.

Maybe they are getting ready to reveal a new condition to the Gate cards. Any ideas?

Well, we've thought about this a while back. There are two gates that are nearly exactly the same, aside from the ring. SM hasn't said anything on it as far as I know, but I think it may be like pearls, just with something like steels.

If I remember one of the older threads, the highlighted bonus didn't have a use either until they came out with the Pearls.
So I can't wait to see what the black circles are going to be used for..
