Fanfic Guidelines-Please Read.
« on: September 20, 2009, 08:46:36 PM »
I just thought I'd post this because most of These fanfics are bland.Main reason:

Every dang chapter its a brawl.

So here are some general tips...

-Dont make Every dang chapter a brawl.ADD STORY TO IT.
    -Devolop Characters.
-Dont make the story plot a mario story plot.
-Explain what the heck is happening.
-Dont use 5 sentences to explain it.Develop the plot as the story is moving along.
-Character tips
   -Again,Develop them.
-Dont make the story characters a mario story characters.
-Dont use 5 sentences to explain them.Develop the characters as the story is moving along.
   -Explain the characters Role
-Make sure everyone knows who the Main Characters and supporting characters are.
-Setting tips
   -Explain the setting.
-Develop the setting.Dont make it "They are in Vestroia"...Develop it.
-Dont use needless info.Like "The ______'s mom is at Home" When thats irrelavent to the story.

These are just tips to helping you write stories/FanFics,NOT rules...

Now, a truly talented writer can do a story with both, right? It can have drama, but it needs some action, too. I'd say the best way to mix them is to have some story outside of brawling, but while brawling continue to develop the characters, having brief dialogue between turns.

As much as I hate to say it, taking a page out of the writing for Yu-Gi-Oh actually isn't that bad an idea.
