I've got a dark secret.

I was playing with one of my nephews, and reading this card, trying to decide if I wanted to use it.

I must not understand something, because it seems to me that there is NEVER a good situation to play this card!

There will only ever be one other gate card on the field (I suppose there's more in a 4-player game...), and there is no guarantee that the lowest 'Gan that battles on the card will be yours.  (I suppose that's always a risk...)

Anyways, I ran through some 2-player simulations with my lowest bakugan... and it never won.

So, I guess... it should be used in a 4-player game, and you use a low bakugan, but not TOO low?  (And be an expert roller)

Still learning the game and strategy and whatnot.  Has anyone played this gate card successfully?  What did you do?

You don't use it with your lowest bakugan, as it is a very situational card.  To get it to work, you more or less have to be 50-100 g's lower than your opponent, and they must be using a Ventus, Sub-terra or Aquos bakugan.  (2 Gate Cards on the field with Pyrus or Haos will give a +200 g boost.)  A 4 player or big game the gap can be larger, but it is still just as situational.  (Cards like Magnetic Action and Shun's Launcher can help insure the opponents bakugan you want to target is on the card, you just have to have a good aim yourself.)

Basically, you want the gap to be small enough that the bump can't be remedied by a Black ability card, but large enough that you can possibly win against 2 of your opponents bakugan.

Side deck card unless you know your opponents bakugan VERY well.

Good points - thank you, Bew!  ^_^

I think I will call this a "Hail" Card.

A card where the situation is so very specific, it has to be juuuuuust right... and therefore doesn't happen very often!

I get the feeling I'm going to dub many more cards Hail Cards.  Heehee!  ^_^

Hey!  Is there an actual Hail Card?  As in, that's the title?  (hasn't read through ALL the cards yet)
