In the new Chat Room ( check out the link on the main site at the bottom of the navigation ) you can register your nickname so only you can have/use it. ( i suggest your forum name ) heres the instructions provided by ThomasRahl for how to do that.
These are instructions for if you want a nickname that nobody can steal. First join the chat using either the webpage interface or by connecting to irc.rizon.net #bakuganbuzz using a client (mIRC, Pidgin, Trillian, xchat, etc.) Next, if your name isn't the one you want (i.e. isn't your forum handle) type /nick <name> where <name> is the name you want. ( do not use the < or > )Now you're going to register that nickname with Nickserv. Type /msg Nickserv register <password> <email> where <password> is your desired password and <email> is your e-mail address. ( again do not use the < or > symbols ) At this time Nickserv will e-mail you a confirmation code. When you have this code, enter /msg Nickserv confirm <passcode>, or copy-paste the entire line from the e-mail. Now your nickname is registered.
When you log on to the chatroom using either the web interface or a client, the first thing you should do is type /msg Nickserv IDENTIFY <password> to log in.
