Bakugan Codes Debunked
« on: June 28, 2009, 06:46:58 PM »
Not sure who already knew this but thought i would post a little FAQ on the codes that now appear on the bottom of the Bakugan.

The 5 numbers represent the day/week that the Bakugan was produced and the 2 letters represent the factory that produced it.

For example, 080122MP. The first 2 numbers are the year. The middle 2 numbers are the month. And the last 2 numbers are the day. So this example would be Janruary 22, 2008. There are many Bakugan with the same numbers so im assuming it refers to that week, but it could just be that date. Finally the 2 Letters at the end represent the factory that produced it.

So how is this useful?

We can try and track the bakugan releases by their dates and predict future releases.

If you look at the BakuBronze Bakugan they have codes dating from march 5 to march 19 and the newly released Bakuglow have dates around march 26 so thats about 3 weeks difference. The Bakuglow just started showing up last week.( middle of June ) BakuBronze was showing up around the middle of May. About a months difference between them.  So this doesnt quite match but its close.

If you look at the date produced VS. the date released its about a 3 month time frame. ( give or take a couple weeks )

So if this theory holds true you can judge when a bakugan will be released here in the US by the date shown on the bottom of it. ( assuming you got an unreleased one from ebay with a code on it )

So the silver brushed Ventus Altair has a date of May 11. So in the beginning of August i bet we will see it released here in the U.S. ( about 3 months )

This is just theory and different parts of the U.S. receive stuff at different times but we can track the dates as they are released and try to formulate a better theory (if it even works at all)

Someone had mentioned this before but I don't think they had actually figured out what each letter/number actually was for. Nice discovery!

BTW my Altair also has May 11th 2009 don't know if you needed to know that but just in case there ya go.

You have an Altair, Yoshi? I'm still waiting for mine...

Anyways, nice find, Ernie. Too bad the numbers on almost all of mine scratch off realy easily. Not much of a help to me.

Hmmm, the theory may not be so good then since this bakubronze was from January. That would be a 4 month delay, compared to a 2-3 month delay on the other numbers.

I always check my codes, the new variations of traps were made after the bakuglow, how weird.
