So, after buying 8 of the 'Card Power Packs' and looking a little closer at the contents, I came up with a few interesting observations. First, there is an interesting variation with the "Circle of Fire" (Foil, 37B) card. I sort of remember someone mentioning this in another thread, but I never saw a pic, so here is the variation: As you can see, the variant card is much more flexible/powerful than the normal version. Kinda cool. Not sure if this card can be played 'as-is' or if there is some sort of errata for it. Anyways, I was surprised to see the difference when I was sorting it into my set. The second observation goes back to my theory on the 4/4 (normal/special) breakdown for each of the colored blocks of ability cards. (Look at the first post for more detail) In my 8 packs, I got no (zero) normal cards from the second half of each color block. So to put this another way, besides the holographic and foil cards, the where absolutely no cards from any set in the 29-32, 37-40, 45-48 blocks. This is a major bummer, imho. I guess in order to maintain the rarity of the cards within the sets, the special ones seen in the front of the card packs can not be found as normals inside. Now, I could have been astronomically unlucky (something like (1/2^40), and got 40 normal cards just the first half of each block by chance, but when you consider the rarity issue, it just makes sense that they would do it that way. Actually, it doesn't make sense, not totally... from each set there are 12 cards in the 'normal' blocks and 12 cards in the 'special' blocks. Since each pack contains 5 of 7 cards from the normal block and 2 of 7 cards from the special block you end up with many more cards (2 and a half times more) from the first half of each block. Now there may be something else in place which equalizes out this discrepancy. Perhaps the "Card Power Houses" have a higher rate of second block cards, maybe the figures themselves come with more second block cards. I don't know. Maybe no one else thought about it and the rarity for the second block is just skewed. And my third observation is that I found my first card that would break my theory for a foil/foil/holo/holo special block. Pack 20020689 (Dan's Launcher/Summon Wave) has been the only pack where there is a card which breaks the cycle. Summon Wave #40 is the 4th card in second half of the blue ability card block, and it appears in this pack as a Foil, when it should be a Holographic version. I'm pretty close now to a set of foil/foil/holo/holo for all the blocks in each set (missing 6 as of now) and besides Marionette which I haven't seen, all the others I'm missing seem to fit the pattern. So, what does this mean? I'm not sure, maybe there's a Holo Summon Wave as a random holo from the "Card Power House", maybe its just a mistake, or maybe my theory for special cards within the sets is wrong. I don't know, but if you happen to see a holographic Summon Wave, I would like to find out where it came from. Hope some of this was interesting. Cheers~ Mirth

nice work. The codes can be used to track the contents of the 5 card packs as well. So let me know if you find any packs of the regular 48 card set ( no letter )
Ya, I kinda sucked up all the packs from the first set that I could find in my local area. Walmart had them on clearance for $1 back around February and that's when I opened alot of those packs. That's also when I noticed there was the UPC code for each set. Didn't really think about cataloging what was in them at the time. But I still keep my eyes open when I travel around. Cheers~ Mirth

My CoF card has completley different artwork... Is that a special version, save for the fact that one is foil?

Sorry for this double post.
Power House Pack with barcode R2 variation. Holo Sub Terra 2 and Lenticular Marionette in front of box.
These were the cards wrapped together with the Sub Terra 2 in this order. Holo Sub Terra 2 47/48b Foil Power Triangle 38/48c Lenticular Summon Wave 40/48 Perfect Aim 27/48b G-Power Increase 36/48c Flowing Waters 42/48c Marucho's Launcher 27/48c Unexpected Guest 28/48b G-Power Boost 34/48 Force Wind 3/48b Sirenoid 12/48c Lock & Load 18/48c Dusk 5/48 Low Energy 4/48b Gargonoid 9/48
Marionette wrapped cards Lenticular Marionette 31/48b Foil Darkus 2 45/48b Holo Clean Slate 29/48b Haos 2 42/48b Pyrus 41/48 Masquerade's Launcher 26/48c Blaze 36/48 Touch with Fire 41/48c Dark Growth 36/48b Catch-Up 17/48G G-Power Exchange 22/48b Powder Keg 2/48c Terrorclaw 12/48 G-Power Swap 17/48c Rattlenoid 13/48c
Hope you get some nice info from this.
Thanks for providing the list. I didn't have all the cards from the box written down but at least I see that special variation cards you pulled matched up with the ones I pulled from the same type of box. As I listed in the first post, I got Len Summon Wave (40), Len Marionette (31B), Holo SubTerra 2 (47B), Holo Clean Slate (29B), Foil Power Triangle (38C), and Foil Darkus 2 (45B). So at least this means there isn't random special cards below the 2 cards in the window. That narrows down the possible variation cards at least. Cheers~ Mirth

Wow, Very nice! Thanks! In a way sort of surprised that these are from only card sets E and I. I guess that means set D will be exclusive to coming with the marbles only. This also means that certain variation cards get doubled up since they are only spread out over 2 sets. I noticed that, unlike with the first set of boxes, you got doubles of certain special variation cards; (Len29E, Holo39E, Len46E, Holo48E, Foil29I, Foil37I, and Foil46I). But, on a more positive note, if you picked up boxes 59, 60 and 61, you would have all the different variation cards, since 62 will just contain repeats. Also looks like variation cards will stick to appearing in the last half of each color block only (29-32, 37-40, and 45-48). Thanks again, very nice info! ~Cheers, Mirth
