In response to determining how to label the series 1 cards:

Well i could just do the 3 digit number and the 2 letter combo after it   i have -cc, -co, -sp and -no cards so far and like you stated some of the numbers also have a "b: after them but im not even sure if its possible to tget the same number with out it

BA means Bakugan
CC is Character Card, CO is Command Card, NO is Normal Card, SP is Special Ability Card
SM means Spinmaster

The B on the end normally designates the new art style. So it's VERY possible to get the same card with a B on the very end and one without. A long time ago before Bakugan ever reached the USA and the style was changed to reflect the show... the Bakugan art and names were much different than it was now for a number of characters.

The only one I've always been unsure of is the lowercase a or b found directly after the number. ( thought the a's seem to correlate to the new artwork as well.)

Examples of old Variation:

Cards BA092a-CC-SM-B (Juggernoid) and BA092-CC-SM (Juggernaut)

Cards BA026-CC-SM (Old) and BA026a-CC-SM-B (New)

I've never seen or heard of any GBL cards... Huh?
Oh wait... you mean Series 2+...

I know in series 2 and beyond BAP is Bakugan Promo
and CN is obviously a Cartoon Network Exclusive card ( like the one you get in the vol. 1 dvd... though I think they changed that for the vol.2 card)
And obviously standard on any card like before is the Card type.. GA - Gate Card, or AB - Ability Card.
But you've got me on GBL, I've never even heard or considered that.

And on closer inspection of my series 1 cards there doesn't seem to always have to be a B on the end for the new artwork;  it is definitely the lowercase a or b at the end of the number that designates it.
(For clarification, there are some new artwork card without the B, but no old artwork with the B.)

Ive seen the bakugan dvd's from teletoon and they have vol 1-3 and each gave a promo card. But what im assuming is the cartoon network dvd it only states vol 2 came with a promo. Do you have more details on what cards come from where and it the cartoon network card is same as teletoon ones?

And yeah the newer cards, in addition to the xx/48b or c or d, the main numbering system on the other side of the card has it.....

B2 is not a card set/type  B2 is a bakugan size that started with the Bakupearl set. To my knowledge all cards are the same size though
