Bakugan is deader than dead
« on: December 14, 2011, 08:56:19 PM »
I saw with my own eyes that the community is dieing. I was going to post this in ricky78s topic but someone locked their topic for fears of losing an argument. Clearly we all at one point player bakugan but what are yall doing now? Redakai? Magic the Gathering? country music? Nothing at all? Let me know and try to spark some conversations here. I shall be celebrating the community death! Join me! ;)

Another season? Did anyone even watch the last one? Bakugan was watchable until season 3. Why does it seem like everyon is into star wars things. That and transformerss, two things I am not even close to being into haha

I'm still mildly playing Bakugan, but to be honest the stock at my local stores hasn't changed in well over a month; as much as I'd like to buy something new there isn't anything to get. The BD shutdown started the blatant downward spiral of the game, and even before then not having a BakuCon 2011 was a bad sign. But with the official forums going offline, I'm more certain than ever that SM is abandoning Bakugan to pursue Redakai, even though Redakai's already managed to die off. Its OP was a failure, and the pricing is higher than any pro tcgers are willing to pay. If SM thinks Redakai will go farther than Bakugan would, they're even more retarded than I think they are...

Once Bakugan's officially dead, I'm probably going to phase out of tcgs. Every one I've played so far has ended up crashing and being discontinued, I don't feel like investing into any other game when it probably will just end up leaving me with a ton of worthless game pieces to an out-of-print game.

I do not see Magic the gathering Pokemon or yugioh dieing anytime soon especially the formost. I started playing Magic and it is pretty fun. If I learned one thing from the past 3 or 4 years its to not buy anything from spinmaster. Terrible company.

I'm mainly focused in Pokemon, Legos, and a story I'm writing. (I'd say fanfic, but it's 90% original.)

Masquerade: The only transformers I have are 8 Minicons (2 Versions of Sparkplug, Oval, Backtrack, Spiral, and 3 I can't name) and the deluxe Generations series Blurr and the War for Cybertron Soundwave.

Yu-gi-oh I'm kinda into but have no one to duel. My fav was GX. Zexel has too many people who are ugly or have ugly hair. I liked the dueling on motorcycles from 5Ds. :D Mainly I use Elemental Heroes but also have Exodia.

Yeah GX was cool and all but I actually enjoyed 5Ds a lot despite its stupid concept.

Strangely, Bakugan's much more organized and popular in other countries. I've been having a conversation with a Russian I know about it, and there's supposedly tournaments that actually work.

Wait, so, in Soviet Russia, Spin Master doesn't fail..? /cornyoverusedjoke

But seriously, maybe Bakugan will pull a Beyblade, get popular overseas for a year or two, then come back and be epic again? Although, tbh I'd prefer it if SM would get off it and start putting effort into the game over here, or better yet, get the people running the Russian tourneys to run the American ones...

Probably not something you want to hear but that was cute. If Bakugan makes a comeback I may be on board with it. It would be tough with Spinmaster behind the wheel though. If anything it might make my Bakugan worth something.
