LED Light-up Dragonoid -COMPLETE-
« on: March 09, 2011, 08:01:20 PM »
I'VE NOW FINISHED. SEE THE 5TH POST.

I am in the process of making a transluscent Dragonoid from the Wal-Mart exclusive evolution pack light up via 2 red LEDs,  a 47 ohm resistor, 2 watch batteries, some IDE wires, and some clever wiring that allows it to light up whenever it stands. I tested the circuit outside the bakugan and it worked, so I just have to slim it down enough to fit inside the cavity. I'm probably gonna need to take a dremel to it to make room enough for the batteries. Pictures to follow...

Okay, here's some pictures of the circuit. I can't find my Dremel right now and I'm too tired to look for it, so I'll get to installing it tomorrow, maybe.

Here is the inside wiring.

Here it is lit up.

This is gonna be the switch. The wire will go to the negative end of the LEDs. I'm going to put a conductive pad at the bottom so when it stands, it will complete the circuit.

And here's a diagram of the circuit.

If I were you I would test this on Deka Aquos Rubanoid since it is translucent and bigger then I would go down to the B2 sized bakugan.

First off I don't own a transluscent deka, second I've fit-tested everything and it works. I need to omit one of the pegs to make the batteries fit, but it will work.

Finally finished!!!

Here you see where I reamed out the pegs to make the batteries fit.

This is me lighting it up before I rig the switch.

And here is the finished product. Notice the disassembled Preyas Diablo, my next project. ;D

Here he is all lit up while standing.

And here he is in the dark.  :P

Let me know what you think and how you think I did.

It's easier to find a flat-head screw driver that is the length of one of the sides on the triangle. That's what I used anyway, it was just a little harder.
Kinda back. On and off. Though no longer really into Bakugan, so I'll kinda stray from that area.

Yea. I had a flat head at first but when I lost interest in bakugan I forgot about the screw driver and lost it.
