I have 800. I decide to pick the highlighted gate bonus, 180.
Me=800+180=980

Of course I have a counter! Ability activate! Fire Mana! Since the highlighted gate bonus is my atributte, I gain the bonus again!

Why did you use crimson and pearl lythirius twice? It should be in the used pile.
