Player 1 rolls and Stands.
Player 2 rolls and Stands on Same Gate starting Battle on HIS turn.
Player 2 is STILL HIS TURN so he deploys Battle Gear and chooses to activate its ability as indicated on reference card.
Player 1 is NOW HIS TURN and he counters by deploying own Battle Gear but is still losing and is wrong attribute to use Battle Gear special ability so instead activates an ability card and is now winning.
Player 2 counters by Deploying a SECOND Battle Gear and chooses to activate its ability on reference card and after coin flips, is now winning.
Player 1 counters by deplying a second ability card which resets all Bakugan and Gear to their owners used piles.
Match Over. No Gate card won.

The above is just for example. IT IS TURN BASED !

Fail. P1 stood first, therefore he gets to activate stuff first.

And nowhere does it say that once you play a gear and resolve its effect, it's the oponents turn. Even if it does anywhere, you contradicted yourself.

"Player 1 is NOW HIS TURN and he counters by deploying own Battle Gear but is still losing and is wrong attribute to use Battle Gear special ability so instead activates an ability card and is now winning."

If what you're saying is true, then he CAN'T play the ability. But, he did. So, which is it? He can only do one action per turn, or as many as necessary?

Well I am pretty sure that whoever rolled their Bakugan, if they MISS. Their turn is over. If they roll and STAND during that turn, I think it is still their turn. I will research this to see how they have officiated this in the past, as to who goes first, the person who caused the battle, or the person who stood first and is 'attacked' by a standing Bakugan that lands on their gate card.

IN EITHER CASE, it is still a TURN BASED system, so that each brawler takes turns, and if a BRAWLER is in the LEAD, he will likely pass his turn to see what his opponent comes up with before taking his turn to deploy battle gear or ability cards.

You cannot simply FREE FOR ALL YELL your way through.

Yes you can. As you posted earlier, when an ability card is played and resolved, the opponent can play one. It says nothing of the sort for gears or traps. And when a stand ofr miss happens, the turn ends. The first bakugan to stand gets the first 'turn' to play trap/gears and ACs, the turn shifts only when an AC is resolved.

Clearly you do not get the point. The turn based system does not only apply to just ability cards.  Just like Sensei already explained any player is only allowed 1 action to resolve then your opponent can do an action and let it resolve if he/she chooses to do an action. So playing 2 gears at once and letting resolve the effects for those gears is basically almost 2 actions at once.

It's not the person who got on the card first, but on whose turn it is.

Like, I stand
you stand and I stand again on your card let's say and it's my turn, that allows me to throw Trap/Gear and acs first.
It also allows me to use all my Gear/Traps and potentially all my acs all in the same move.

Potentially you can double Rock Hammer on your turn, and get rid of your opponents Trap/Gears. Sounds very broken, if you ask me. Still, how they way it works should be like the acs then. This is gonna suck, a lot. I mean , if I were to royally screw up, next thing/ last thing I might see is a double Twin Destructor in my face. A guaranteed +200 and bonus from abilities......

That is what is being discussed. You should only be able to play and use 1 rock hammer and then your opponent should get a chance to play his or her gear after you played one and NOT play both of your rock hammer at the same time. If you opponent does passes his action after you play you first one then you can play you other rock hammer to discard both of his gear.
Yeah, I kinda figured. Nowhere does it state that your opponents gets a chance to play a gear after you play yours. Meaning that you can play both of them. One after the other. Basically at the same time.

And you clearly don't get my point. It only says ability cards-- Not gears, traps, and whatnot. I think they should, but they don't.

You guys don't get it do you.

The turn based system was used because cards and effects do not have requirements to play them like other games. In order to be fair, each player only gets to play and resolve one ability or effect each time and then lets the other player do an action. It does not matter if he is trying to counter your effect but he or she is still allowed to play an action.

No, I get exactly what you're trying to say-- but the rulebook does NOT say that. It says that only for ability cards.

Well this is EXACTLY why they need to update the F.A.Q AGAIN and also UPDATE THE RULE book because BIB'S(and likely others) and I both think that EACH PLAYER TAKES TURNS using Abilities(Cards or Battle Gear or Traps etc).

The rules refer to this as to Ability Cards and our argument is that Battle Gear and their respective abilities must be alternated EXACTLY like Ability Cards in a Battle.

AND BTW, Timess just backed me up that it indeed IS STILL the turn of whoever stands and creates a Battle to play the first ability card, trap or gear.

So who is wrong now ?  Cheesy

Off I GO to the My.Bakugan forums to hit the RULES/F.A.Q thread ONE MORE TIME !!! hahahahaha...

This thread is pretty much the pure definition of why I don't brawl often. Everyone has to over-complicate a kid's game and make it so where everyone is confuzzled and all hell breaks loose. I read the entire thread, and it's pretty pointless. BIB is correct in a way that it's more one at a time then full on double abilityrockhammahiWIN ULOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I read one of Lux's post and he made a very simple, and logical point. If someone beats someone else to it, then that would happen. I'm not going to get too involved in this because it's just too confusing at this point.

inb4 more confuzzling and fail posts. :V

I'm still right, the rulebook doesn't say that rule for gears. But if they do update it with this hopeful ruling then we'll stop tearing each others guts out... Hopefully.

I don't fully see what there is to argue about here. But BIB and Lux seem understandable so I'm going with them.

The rulebook does only specify abilities, but its generalized to whoever's turn it was gets the FIRST move, and then you alternate, its really simple honestly.

I agree !! It is not a BIG JUMP in logic to ASSUME that Battle Gears are played in a alternating Fashion just like Ability Cards, right ? It's not that hard !?!?

But some people around here seem to be STUBBORN and pretty thick headed, quite frankly.

I agree they're played the same way as an AC-- but that doesn't mean they ARE ACs.

And the rulebook only says that ACs trigger the turn switch during battle. Untill they change that or officialize differently, that's the official rule.

This argument is just going back and forth and just needs to be locked up. And I'm pretty sure everyone would agree that SM needs to fix or fully explain the rules of playing their game.
