Baku capsule monsters (I guess would be a good name)
« on: December 30, 2009, 10:17:50 PM »
This is a type of board game that I created. First you need 2 players (duh). Each  player brings 32 Gate cards(11 Gold, 11 Copper and 10 silver) to the game. The gates are arranged in a square in chessboard 8x8 style. Each player then selects 7 Bakugan and one trap from their collection and arranges them however they want to on the back row (the row closest to them). Now heres where things get technical. Your Bakugans ability to move is based on their level. Their level is found by the first number in their G power. For example:Darkus Hades has 710Gs. He is a Level 7 bakugan. Though the higher levels you have the more pwerful the bakus are they have less moving potential. Level 7-1 card per turn, level 6-1 card a turn level 5-2 cards a turn level 4-2 cards a turn and anything under that is 3 cards per turn.Traps are a level 5 Bakugan.(read further for the use of traps in gameplay)Then, each player will select 5 ability cards of each color (15 in all). If a card mentions rolling, the term rolling changes to moving so you would play it before you move a bakugan and take advantage of its effect. Of course some cards just won't work. I.E. The stone cards and many others due to the immense amount of rule changing from the original bakugan game. During your turn you can move 3 bakugan.. If 2 bakus happen to get on the same gate card, battle starts and that gate is flipped over.In order to begin the battle, a bakugan needs to have attack credits(can't think of a cooler term). The amount of credits they need depends on their level.Credits are gained at the end of each turn and is applied to all your alive Bakugan. For a level 7 Bakugan, you need 5 credits before you can attack an opposing bakugan. A level 6 needs 4 a level 5 needs 3 and a level 4 needs 2 and so on and so forth. Now when a Bakugan attacks another, There must be damage calculation.G power must be used again. The G power is how many HP your Bakugan has. I.E:Hades has 710Gs. He has 710HP. The G power bonus is added to both Bakugans Gs. If the attacking Bakugans Gs is higher than the defending then the difference is deducted from the defending bakugans HP. If the attaking Bakus Gs is lower then the difference is deducted from he attacker. If tied notheing happens and play continues.  After the battle the gate card is removed and each bakugan in the battle is moved one card toward its owner .Traps can not attack. They are only a type of backup. They have 500Hp and are a level 5 Bakugan. If,during a battle, the trap (being at what level it is at the time) can be legally moved to the gate card the trap is on,its power may be used in said battle where it can change the attribute on your Bakugan to any of the attributes printed on the trap,.  Play continues until one of the players run out of nondestroyed Bakus. Some of the Bakugan with special effects are treated differently in this game.
Dual attributes are the same as in the regular Bakugan game
Attribute changers- These could be tricky. Unless all of them are like preyas (has a button) you wil have to close it and reopen it to see the attribute for that battle. The same with muti G power bakugan
Bronze-If Sub terra is the highlighted bonus-add 50 Gs to the bronze in question,
Heavy Metal-add 50Gs if a HM battles on a silver gate
Clear/Trans-These Bakugan may take on the attribute of the opponent's bakugan or in the case of a trans keep its original attribute to the discretion of the owner.(clear has no choice)
Pearl-If Haos is the highlighted bonus add 50Gs to the pearl in question.
Reverse Instead of taking its gate bonus, you may choose to have your opponent's bakugan drop Gs by the level of the gate bonus in question.
Spin/Vortex/Cyclones If the printed Gs on this (regardless of battle damage) is higher than your opponent's current Gs (including damage) Then the gate card is kept flipped over and the opposing bakugan is moved backwards 2 cards.

Still working on it and I will keep this thread updated with new stuff I come up with. Its pretty scattered right now but thats just how my thought process works. When I become satisfied wit the rules I will organize it better.

Please feel free to ask questions (if anybody is actually reading it...)
