The rules say that you anounce when you are playing an ablity card. However, there seems to be a timing issue, whoever anounces this first is at a disavantage because the other player will get to see this card?

If I was to break down all the steps it would look like this:

Before placement of gate card.
Placement of gate card.
After placement of gate card.
Before roll.
After roll.
Missed gate card.
After your Bakugan stands.
After your oppenents Bakugan stands.
Before battle.
During battle.
After battle.

@_@; oh my word. There are just so meny times you could possibly play an ablity card, since the card itself says when to play it. But as soon as you anounce you are playing it, your oppenent then chooses if they want to play one during that phase of play.

Its also unclear if you are alowed to play all your ablity cards at once, if the timing is correct, or if you are alowed to play them only if they would not be in the same battle, for example, play before you roll, then play an ablity during that battle, then play one after that battle? Sure thats all of your cards. I've been playing it a once per roll / battle. As though each players roll is a turn and my one card is played that turn or not.

Any insights?

Ability cards pretty much tel you when you can play them. Otherwise i believe they are to be played during battle. read our How to play page..... Once you play a card your opponent gets a chance to play a card as well. You are able to play as many cards as you want at any time but must wait and give your opponent a chance to respond before playing your next card. When each player has passed ( decided not to play an ability card) back to back, then there are no more ability cards able to be played that battle. For ex. if you play a card and your opponent says they dont want to, then you can play another card and then your opponent can now decide to play a card..... if you play a card and your opponent says they dont want to and then you decide you dont want to as well, no more ability cards can be played.

Is this an official way to play? I dont know. Its common sense and the way many other games are played.

also after u have all made your decisions on what is going to be played, they should take place in the order they were played unless one card cancels out the other. then the one it canceled out is null and void and a new order is started. I think it should be first in last out always. so the first one takes place then the second and so on and so on.
