This is probably one of those times where we feel like wishing that we live in Japan. After all, it now has something that may never be released in North America --- the BakuTech series!
The BakuTech series has just come out in Japan last week. It's a new series of Bakugan that has the added feature of having parts that can be swapped with other Bakugan. There's that and the fact that they look cool. I'm sure a lot of Bakugan lovers would love to have these in their collection (I certainly do). Sadly, this is only in Japan.

The BakuTech Series pack, only out in Japan
Here's two of the BakuTech Bakugan already spreading around the Internet (and continues to make us Bakugan lovers pine for it):

We have seen four of the highly awaited Bakugan Battle Gears make their first appearances in the New Vestroia episodes so far: Helios' Twin Destructor, Aranaut's Battle Crasher, Coredem's Rock Hammer, and Hawktor's Swinger. Six battle gears have only been released as the first set, and we can expect that there'll be more battle gears to come!
Right now we have the Airkor, Jetkor, Twin Destructor, Rock Hammer, Battle Turbine, and the Vilantor Gear available to brawlers and collectors. We're still waiting for the next sets to be released. Four more battle gears have been circling the Bakugan community, and they are the following:
Two battle gears have made their debut on the screen, but there's no word yet on their Bakugan figures coming out. The Battle Crasher and the Swinger were shown on New Vestroia episodes 43 and 45, respectively. The Battle Crasher is used by Aranaut while the Swinger is Hawktor's battle gear.

There is also the Lansor Battle Gear, which is rumored to be Gill's battle gear on Bakugan Season 3: Gundalian Invaders. There's not much information about these finds. We'll have to wait until the third season comes into full action.

One of the awesome things to look forward to with the third Bakugan series, Gundalian Invaders, is what has been confirmed to be called the Bakugan Battle Gear! While New Vestroia introduced Special Attack Bakugan and Bakugan Traps, Gundalian Invaders is hitting a lot of boosting power with the anticipated battle gears.
Right now there are 6 battle gears that have been found, and only three so far have confirmed names:

The other three that we are still keeping tabs on what they're called are the following:
Battle Gear on a Darkus Dharak Bakugan
Battle Gear and a Pyrus Dharak Bakugan
Battle Gear and a Pyrus Strike Flier
We can also see that with the battle gears are new colors. Gold is especially very clearly shown as one of the battle gear colors. There's also red, green, brown, and black.
Thanks to Abce2, Bakuexpert, and eclipse116 from the Brawlers Forum and Bakugan Wikia for the information and pictures.

Greetings brawlers! Welcome to the second issue of Battle Tactics with BrightLight!
I’m very pleased to share with you one of the most fundamental strategies to keep in mind for your next brawl. Sometimes starting off with your best foot forward can propel you to the winner’s circle and there’s no better time like the present to get started and improve your strategy just in time for BakuCon NYC.
Bakugan brawl!
Gate Card Placement, Tip #2: Early Placement
Some Gate cards can be best used when played early in the game. When you are playing one of these cards, be sure to put it out first and have a plan for what you want to do when you engage in battle on it. A great early placement card is the Copper Gate Card, ‘Rattleoid’. Battling on this card early in the game puts your enemy in an odd situation where they have to dump a bunch of Ability Cards or hold on to them allowing you to get some mega G-Power bonuses. This can be particularly devastating when brawling with the Big Game rules!
As you can see, timing can be everything, so I hope you’ll take this strategy and use it as part of your moves to defeat your opponents!
Thank you for checking out my latest tip and be sure to catch next month’s Battle Tactic here on my.bakugan.com!
And If you have a strategy that you would like to share with me for a future article, send your tip to community@bakugan.com with the following subject line - "Battle Tactics with Bright Light: My Strategy Tip"!
Brawl on!

Everyone is really anticipating the new sets of Bakugan. New Vestroia hasn't even ended yet, but it's like we're more excited for the Gundalian Invaders rather than how New Vestroia fares as the recent series ends. Maybe it's because the Gundalian Invaders is showing some new style and looks. We've already seen how the new sets of Bakugan are now more dino-like and more evolved. Well it seems that even the new sets of cards have a new look to them!
As we can see, the image of the Bakugan gets more space now than the background with the small circular screws (personally, I liked the older design but a different season does mean a different theme). The back also changed its design to blue and black instead of the usual orange and black.
Here's another different look. No cyber or mechanical look anymore, they're going sharp and thundersome!
You can see more pictures at the Brawlers forum. Thanks to Kohdok and SaMaster14 for sharing these with us!

A lot of us are really looking forward to new additions to our Bakugan collections, and so we're all excited to find out when the next set of the Bakugan series will be released. There's nothing definite yet, except that the set is slated to be out this year. It could be early this year, or it could be later. There's a whole lot of waiting for us to do till the new Bakugan are out, that's for sure. For now, there's only the pictures and their tentative names:
Lumagrowl
Dharak
Avior
Snapzoid
Strike Flier
Phosphos
Helix Dragonoid
Coredem
The new set of Bakugan introduces a universal weapons system, where the Bakugan will have tabs and a magnet in their back when they are opened from their closed ball form. The Bakugan will be able to use "Weapon Traps," which are apparently still a tentative part of the set. We'll see.
Another interesting news that comes with the new set is regarding the color of the Darkus Bakugan. Particularly, the secondary color, which will be changed from purple to green, like this:
